It is with great pleasure that we announce that our speaker for 2024 will be sculptor Brett Graham (Ngāti Koroki Kahukura, Tainui).
Brett’s superbly crafted, carefully considered work offers a unique perspective, and is acclaimed locally and globally. He is an accomplished and highly qualified artist, and in 2021 he was honoured as an Arts Laureate.
This year his work was shown at the prestigious Venice Biennale for the second time. He exhibited there in 2007, in collaboration with Rachael Rakena. His work has also been featured in other international Biennales – in Honolulu 2017 and 2010, as well as Sydney 2010 and 2006.
